Insomnia
I've got a free sleep App on my phone. You can mix 3 different sounds and set a timer. There's also a piece of music, very cheap to download. It's called Weightless by Marconi Union, been scientifically composed to relax the brain. I bought the 8 minute version and I've only once heard the end of it. Just make sure you put it alone in a playlist. First time I used it I'd drifted off to sleep but was woken up by Ceelo Green on the next track
After years of insomnia I've trained myself to sleep better using the above.
Thank you so much .. Will get it download ..π
I have some very bad patches but never feel I've slept enough. Recently I downloaded a migraine app and found out it was monitoring my sleep! it get my waking up time correct as I check the time but assumes I've gone to sleep when my phone is still. One night it thought I'd managed to sleep for nearly 10 hours - I wish! But it knows when I've given up and got out of bed in the early hours.
I use the online BBC radio and choose something that isn't too interesting in the hope I'll drop off in the middle.
(In order to reduce the impact of the blue light from my laptop screen I have F.lux installed. And the screen brightness automatically goes down when I unplug it.)
