Acupuncture and cupping

I live in Aberdeen and I'd asked for information in a few acupuncture clinics. One day I was visiting a relative in Edinburgh when I saw a tiny acupuncture clinic. I came in and I fell in love. The walls are covered of jars of mysteries herbs and the doctor (in wester and chinese medicine) is nice and really cares about your problem. She listens you and personalize the treatment. 40 relaxing minutes with acupuncture, massage and cupping. It's true that the next day it looks like I played a match and I was the ball but from then my pain is better and I feel more energetic. From the first session. She is professional but also really nice and close. I truly recommend acupuncture and cupping but not any. Finding the right one. I was lucky.

I'm suspicious of the way cupping is done these days. I'm sure the cups are used too hot nowadays, seeing the colour of the marks left on the skin. The redness should not persist for more than an hour or two. Sometimes I have seen what appears to be broken capillaries as a result.

I had marks in my back after cupping but they'd disappeared in a few hours.

Thanks for your advice Midori.
