Last week my dog pulled me over. I ruptured a lot of the muscles in my left foot/ankle, the specialist said it was the worst sprain he had ever seen as he was convinced there was more going on and I had multiple x rays and scans as he was convinced it was broken somewhere, I also sprained my right ankle, wrenched my shoulder and twisted my knee. I’ve been off my face on painkillers ever since pretty much.
Sometimes I wake up and it’s like my muscles have gone to sleep. I woke up at 1am and collapsed in a heap on the floor because my right knee gave way, snapped back and turned my ankle over again in the process of falling.
My legs below the knee are so painful and I can’t bare it. I’ve got Tramadol and Naproxen in conjunction and it’s still really painful.
I didn’t realise how dodgy my joint are. Is this something others experience ?

RICE: Injury First Aid use the RICE formula to reduce swelling. R.I.C.E. is an acronym for the most important elements Rest, Ice, Compression, and Elevation in first aid of many injuries.
I know if I fall over or have any kind of accident I always end up doing a lot of damage. Just recently I tore ligaments in my arm by just simply putting my sock on.
Sorry to hear about the fall and the pains. Just wanted to say hi and that i am thinking of you and sending some gentle loving hugs x
Oh you poor thing. It's awful knowing that we all don't heal as quick also. I have permanently swollen ankles and my lower legs pulse all the time, I find since falling nearly 7 years ago my right ankle is so weak, I can't walk far on it through the pain. I have hypermobility in my joints too. I empathise totally with you.
