Hi everyone

Has anyone ever had severe pain and tenderness in

the actual eyeball?

It started on Monday in the centre of my forehead as if someone had hammered a stake in there.

Wednesday is had moved to my right eye which was even more painful and very tender to touch,

Today it’s in my left eye too and slightly swollen.

I’ve stopped touching it. Lol

Any ideas?

Thank you for your time and advice in anticipation.

Regards

Siobhan

Hi does the sunlight make it worse? I've had infections in my eyes before and it starts with pain inside the eye, which is made worse with light of sunlight. It's usually an infection called Iritis. This requires a trip to A+E or your Doctor can refer you to your local eye clinic if your local hospital. There an eye doctor will examine your eyes in detail. Then if it is Iritis they will precribe eye drops. Last time I had it, it was bad and I had to put actual cream inside my eye!! Regardless I recommend you get in touch with your GP ASAP as this will only get worse.. Good luck

I get stabbing pains in my eye sometimes, it’s quite a sharp stab! I’m presuming it’s just fibro misfires happening, my eyesight doesn’t change that much.

My eye dr said that muscles are in the eye and with fybro something to think about. Not even a suggestion. Just something to think about.

I would suggest a trip to see your GP; Or your Optician, if it is easier.

Might be something simple, or might need investigating.

Obviously first advice would be to check with a health care professional.

I had eye pain that worsened after I gradually replaced blown bulbs with led light bulbs. It was also worse after looking at any screen, computer or tv.

I found some good old tungsten bulbs, (hard to find now but worth the effort) and bought some yellow tint glasses for computer screen protection.

No problems with that pain now at least.

Hello yes I get this !! My eyes are affected by fibro all the time pain, blurry, very dry eye and even had a full blood shot eye one day.

I went to the opticians that day cause my eye for completely red inside and she said fibro does affect the eyes. I had a very dry eye which caused a patch on my eyeball of the film that covers the eyeball. So the blinking was causing my eyelashes to stab my eyeball causing bleeding !! Sorry for the long explanation.

Best wishes xx
