Hi everyone would like to ask you all for some help and advice , I’ve got a tribunal date for the end of this month unfortunately I am having to ask for a postponement because my representative is not available on the day, does anyone know how long you have to wait until you get another date, I’ve waited 9mths for this one, that is of course if the judge grants a postponement, tribunal services couldn’t say how long I would have to wait and I know depending on what part of the country you are in waiting times are different, I’m just looking for a general idea.

Thank you 🤗

Is it your representative that has contacted the court and not you, as when GL24 was submitted was your representative on it to be cntacted

Thank you for replying so quickly my representative was on the forms I filled in and they have received all paper work, it was myself who contacted the courts and they said put your reasons for postponement in a letter and send it in and the judge will decide if I can have a postponement hope this helps 🤗

If your representative was on the GL24 as representing you and they not available on tribunal date ,even if you turned up on your own case might not be heard anyway

Thanks for that Alan I don’t mind waiting a few weeks so long as it’s not months 😱

I think once all your paperwork is ready they want it dealt with as soon as possible, good luck and if it helps it’s nothing like the assessment process it’s very informal, and you get the opportunity to explain your case and how things effect you.

I would contact representative and ask them to contact court . As you were contacted with court date so was your representastive and DWP at the same time. Better them contact court than you

All i can tell you in my case i had a court date in the past about 18 months ago. T hen out of the blue my representative phoned me and said to be there in the morning instead of afternoon like was on court letter so court contacted her to arrange the different time. So i sure in your case too they have been in contact with representative. Sometimes they know these people well

I had one postponed because their medical person didn’t show up, we had a 6 week wait but got in on a cancellation after 4.

Waited 56 weeks application to award and now have to start all over again.

Aw no did you lose your appeal ? I am thinking maybe just to go ahead with it and not postpone !! it’s taken 9 months to get this date and I just want to get it over and done with now I hope you have more success this time round we have just to keep battling on even though we shouldn’t have to jump through hoops to get what we deserve I curse the day I took ill and ended up having to go through all of this for an illness we didn’t ask for 😕

No

Won the appeal, got everything back dates and advised to apply for the higher rate in 6 months if no improvement.

When you have a tribunal they are assessing your ability on the day you applied not the day of the tribunal.

Every review is a fight to keep what was originally awarded.

Now they claim we haven’t returned the review paperwork and stopped everything.

Pleased you won your appeal 😊 they will do anything to stop your money 😱 I always send paperwork by next day delivery so I can track and see who signed for it and I also keep the receipt, good luck and I hope you get everything sorted sooner rather than later 🤗
