Good Morning everyone, well I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia in 2004 3 years after this on going pain. Then back surgery in 2007 however pain pain has been consistent and I've only had about 3 to 4 months with no pain at all about 3 years ago. However stress makes things worse, and I feel even when I wasn't stress things was bad. However ive tried some of every thing I possible could even the tens machine, but didn't help. However every day is a struggle I suffer from migraines also and went to an chiropractor for that and it definitely helped for about 6 months which I've got an pinched nerve in my neck. So I pray that everyone who is going through finds some relief. Have a Bless weekend and God is right there with us all. Happy Memorial Day weekend. Enjoy😎

Hello Tarzan232,

Sorry to hear about the pain, hope it eases soon. You said you tried a TENS machine, can you remember what type it was? There are different types, the type that are available at Lloyds and other chemists that are just basic machines that work in 15-60 minute cycles. And there are1's that are more expensive with longer cycles and different settings.

I had the same thoughts as you (that they don't work) but if you can manage to get 1 of the more expensive machines and use them for at least 2 hours + a day and experiment with the settings you may find that they do help. Some pain clinics let you borrow TENS machines, and they are normally of the better kind.

They are not a magical cure, so far nothing will get rid of the pain altogether, but it will help (hopefully!!) make the pain more manageable, they certainly do for me.

I think you're right about stress, have you tried meditation or mindfulness?

Take care and mind how you go.

Rob. X
