OCD and fibromyalgia

I really do hate having OCD. My partner has 4 kids who I love with all my heart but when they go back home after the weekend the mess just dries me crazy so I have to set to and clear up I just can't sit and look at the mess.

The worst thing is about it is my OCD is at itsworst when my fibromyalgia is at its worst which is practically every day and I have a constant argument going on but the OCD always wins then I know about it the following day I also have with the OCD and fibromyalgia spondlituse IBS low vitamin d deficiency depression and anxiety restless legs syndrome disturbed sleep itchy skin and migrans so it very annoying I've also had two operations on my spine one in 2005 they removed the nodules from base of spine and the other in 2006 which they removed half a disc from the base of my spine

Hi Sweetie 70😊🌸🌿

I’m sooo sorry about all of your health problems. I hope you get some relief soon. 🦋🌿

About your OCD...if your partner knows about all of your conditions why don’t you lovingly ask him to have either have the kids help to pick up before they leave or have him to assist you with it???

I hope things work out for the best for you dear. 😊

I can't help with the OCD but think I understand how stressful it can be for you ( don't think someone can fully understand until it happens to them) but I can suggest a few things that might help.

For restless leg, try magnesium oil ( buy a spray online or make your own by dissolving magnesium flakes in boiled water until you reach a saturated solution. Cool and bottle it)

Low Vitamin D can cause, or contribute to, depression so the dr should give you a prescription for tablets or chat to a pharmacist as they're usually helpful.

For migraines check everything you eat and drink. I have a long list of stuff that causes migraines in me and they recently started again. I realised it was D-Ribose I was trying and as soon as I ditched that, the migraines stopped.

I use a tens machine on my neck and shoulders, too.

4 children is a lot to cope with, especially when they have limited time with their father and you want to make sure they enjoy their time with the two of you. I found 2 quite stressful and I was in good health in those days.

A couple of practical things might be a set of boxes, all their stuff that's left around can just go in those ( one each?) and be stacked in a bedroom maybe. And with a large family if a dishwasher is possible that helps with mess and labour.

Thankyou for your kind words I will try the magnesium oil spray is love to try the tens machine but I think that they might be a bit pricey and we haven't got a lot of income

You've had some meaningful and helpful responses there ..

I to have OCD so I do understand... Think it started when l was a child and told to not walk on a crack on pavement or something terrible would happen to me...

Count odd numbers and see them as lucky...

Wear things out by washing and cleaning them to often..

Restless legs - I think that's part of the fibromyalgia also..

You have my greatest regards and sympathy...

Carol..
