Hi can anyone tell me at what age PIP stops and what happens when it does? Thanks
What age does PIP cease?: Hi can anyone... - Fibromyalgia Acti...
What age does PIP cease?
It is a working age benefit which stops at 64.
However as retirement age is now higher we wait to see if it will be raised too.
For those applying for the first time after the age of 64 they can apply for Attendance Allowance instead. This is for Care only with no mobility component.

Thanks, that’s what confused me as the website said up to 64. I think my retirement age is 67 now! You’re right, it’s worth waiting to see if 64 is raised. Thanks for the info
I retired under the old scheme at 62. I have been left om my DLA til this year when I chose to go to PIP...I am 65! And yes I now have PIP for 10 yrs before needing another assessment

Hi there, if you are already getting PIP, then it continues to any age, under the usual rules. If not, it is as Bananas5 states above.
Take care.
GP. 😊😊
Thanks so much for taking time to reply. Things are a lot clearer now
Hi, thanks for that. The website said up to age 64 so I wasn’t sure. Retirement age is uncertain for me, I think it’s 67 now! Glad to hear from you
