Good luck to you. I didn't know they did home visits. Did the lady ask you to show her any adaptations around your home, or to stand up etc?

Gentle hugs and here's to hoping it works out for you.

Were you on DLA before?

Hi there no I haven't been on dla before . The lady went through the questions on my application as some things had changed since applying then we went through more question she did ask if I had any aids around the house but as I'm in a council house these haven't been done yet if I do get pip then I will be contacting the council to see what is available to me as I have to get there consent before adapting my home I have had a shower put in but she never looked around my home after 1 half hours of questions she then asked me to stand bend down as far as I can to touch my toes which is not possible I had to lift my legs as far as I could whilst sitting touch my shoulders with my hands put my finger and thumb together and she had to push them apart which was easy for her had to see if I could put both arms behind my back which I can't had to point my feet forward and back and that was it hope this helps you ad to show her any evidence from hospital and doctors I also had a medical from a doctor when I was surpose to start a new job and stated on there that I was unfit for work which she said was good evidence I now have to photocopy all my letters and send them in which I will be doing today and just the dreaded wait she said could be up to 2 months which is a joke really considering I've been waiting since march 2013 sending gentle hugs

Hi Dod,

Such a long meeting for you.

I feel they make us look stupid asking if we can put finger and thumb together etc

Fingers crossed for you and the council are able to help you too. Do you use walking aids or a wheelchair

Gentle thoughts to you

Lucy

No I don't at the minute not sure if it will stay this way as do sturggle to get up and walking is not as good as it used to be always stumble my feet don't move as fast as my brain is telling then to move my memory is getting really bad I keep losing things the other day I was given £30 to put away I can't remember what I've done with or where I've put it so I'm £30 out of pocket this week I've just been and got my gas and electric couldn't remember where I've put them just found them in my back pocket I've heard it's called foggy brain but feel like I'm going mad gentle hugs
