Hi Iozzles, and welcome to this lovely forum, where you will get lots of support.

I've never heard of the medication that you have mentioned, but I would contact your GP and tell them about how you're now feeling, and I'm sure that there is something else they can try you on. x

Hi lozzles,

I am familiar with quetiapine.

Are you taking it at bedtime and how long have you been on it?

I know it's prescribed for bi-polar, depression and schizophrenia and it's an antipsychotic.

Yes 50mg at night but also 25mg at 12 and 6 in evening also take Fluoxetine. I don't know why I'm in antiphsycotic in the first place.

Hi yes it is an antipsychotic but is used in the treatment of anxiety and major depressive disorder.

You must have been severely affected to be given this medication?

Ps.. both my daughter's have been on Quetiapine.

If you are not comfortable taking it you should talk to your GP or mental health professional.. maybe lower the dose.

I hope you get it sorted 🌸🌸🌸

It's a fairly new medication apparently but I don't like the way it makes me feel dulls all your emotions.

I don’t recognize that medication you are on but I do suffer from depression secondary and MDD (major depressive disorder?) It use to be related to a stressful situation, then secondary to my health, then one day which turned into several weeks was not brought on by any particular event but turned out to be low vit. D level. Adding abilify and prescribing vit.D 50,000u 2x a wk has helped my mood a lot. Has anyone ever checked your vitamin D level?

Yes; it’s heartbreaking but does not mean we are weak, sometimes it’s just beyond overwhelming with no respite or help. Please speak to your dr and continue with your posts to this group for support: x
