Advise please

Hello everyone I've been having alot of pain in all my joints for a while now. But lately its been excruciatingly painful causing me to limp and loose dexterity in my hand realy tiered but i do have pernicious aneamea which also makes me extremely tire. My GP has put me on 15mg of prednisone daily for 2weeks . I don't realy want to be on steroids all my life though. Any suggestions people xxx

I’m sorry for your suffering. Hasn’t anyone told you that taking steroids is a part ofl treating chronic inflammatory diseases during progression?

They are used to stimulate the bone marrow to produce and increase red blood cells and reduce inflammation when suffering pernicious anemia. This condition causes extreme exhaustion. I once fell asleep 😴💤 while I was eating 🥪 because of my severe anemia. Back then I had good balance and didn’t even fall out of the chair. When you are well enough you’ll be weened off of them and probably ordered to take iron pills instead. Eating red meat especially is good for iron. Lots of veggies I can’t remember now are iron builders plus iron pills.

I completely understand. Hopefully you get B12 injections. Prednisone did not help me. The only way it got easier for me was to take a water exercise class and an over 50 Pilates class. It is very hard at first but I saw improvement after a month. I could barely walk and arms and hands felt like they were on fire before. This decreased and although I still have a lot of difficulty walking distance it is better than it was before. Keep the faith.
