Pain in in left lung

Hi ,I am new to this site ,just got home from Lung specialist because of COPD/Emphysema .I two nights ago was having extreme pain in left lung & holding my back it was spasms horrible pain .My appointment for specialists was made 3 months back & not for this .He said I had a few benign nodules & gave me new inhalers & to come back in 3 months will be going to hospital for out patient oxygen testing next week but my main problem is this never before pain that makes me feel like my lung is being squeezed & can't get air I automatically grab my back where my lipubg is .I have fibromylgia ,when I told my husband that everything looked good he said Cindy its the fybro because it effects everything it seems .Is this true that it can effect my lung & or lungs..Does anyone else have this problem ,not the feeling of a heart attack its in my back at the lung

I get the feeling that I can't breathe deeply, and the pain is always at the front if my chest. I've had all the breathing tests done, all ok.

Don't put everything down to fibro, it's easy to do as are so used to pain. As well as the lung function tests, I'd ask for a scan ( I had a CT scan) more accurate than an X-ray.

Hi Cindy, and welcome. I had to start using inhalers about five years ago. It didn't help that I met up with my aunt who was smoking at least 60 a day. I got bronchitis and then inhalers and was stupid enough to smoke. I think we can get illnesses like bronchitis very easily...that's my experience anyway. Gentle hugs x
