Does ESA stop when you are awarded PIP...

Hello... I have been awarded PIP , high rate living allowance , low rate mobility.. I got a back payment from December put into the bank but also the day after my ESA should have gone into bank but it hasn't..I called the phone number up and lady said they would get in touch in next 24 hours but I have had no word...my ESA was due on Tuesday...does anyone know anything of this..I am on income based ESA but have been told PIP is not means tested..

Hi congrats on getting pip your esa shouldn't be effected but i have heard of some peoples being reasessed for support rate after being awarded pip hopefully that is whats happening. Good luck hope u get answers soon x

I am in the ESA support group and have been for 6 yrs, can they take my esa off me ....

I've looked online to make sure and i can't see any reason your esa would have been effected by your pip claim. I would call back tomorrow to make sure nothing else has effected it.

I can't say I have no money because they got pip backdated to December when I put in for pip . Can't see any other reason but my esa stopped on Tuesday after I received letter from pip..I have had no letters other than reply from pip people..I will just have to phone them up in morning...Thankyou for replies..
