We have a wonderful friendly community here and we all like to send each other kind wishes on special occasions. This is lovely to see however with over 36K members we feel that one post to all members with others tagging people to send their personal wishes, would be much better than multiple people making posts for the same special occasion.
The community on HealthUnlocked is about connecting people living with Fibromyalgia and therefore many people posting about the same thing floods the community, making it harder for other members to locate the information or posts they are interested in reading. This also relates to Birthday posts to members, again whilst it is lovely to wish each other Happy Birthday with the amount of members again the community has the potential to be swamped with these posts.
The community admin have discussed this and we would like to say that we feel that one of our admin should be responsible for adding posts relating to special occasions (Christmas, Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Valentines etc). This also includes a monthly post for Birthdays which members can tag other members if it is there birthday that month (without mentioning the date as personal information and for security reasons). All these posts will be pinned for the duration of the month or if a special day for up to 3-4 days, so members can add their comments and tag the people they want to. If you'd like to use the private message to send personal wishes to members please feel free to use this facility to do so.
