I can empathize as filling in the PIP form and the assessment with all the questions you have to answer brings it starkly home the changes fibro has made to us. Do hope you have a good outcome. Let us know how you get on.x

Hi Jackiejack123, I am glad you felt the assessor was pleasant. It always makes you feel a little more easier if they are polite. No reason why they shouldn't be that's not always the case. Good luck with the outcome xx

I know I have heard of many a bad story , she said it’s not her that makes the decision it her case manager that decides , obviously on her box ticking x

DM makes a 'decision' based on what the nice. kind assessor writes down!! What qualifications do these people have? That would be my first and probably last question to any of them!! Sorry a raw point.

She was a nurse who worked in Glasgow royal infirmary, she said how long can you walk , n I eventually said 10 mins , she replied really 10 mins don’t u mean like 3 mins or something , so she did help with my answers , I cannot walk 10 mins do I don’t know what I was thinking , she was lovely and she did say she knew a good bit about fibro x

When I went for my assessment for ESA i thought the assessor was a nice pleasant fellow and was listening to me too. He even passed a comment on my repeat prescription list saying Do you take Tramadol and Prednisolone at the same time .I said when i have gout attacks at the max dosage which you see my Doctor and Rheumatologist have prescribed. Guess what he wrote down Predisolone normal dose daily Tramadol normal dose daily This is even though i was on a max strenght dose with other medication as well So i never trust these people after

Oh ferry me , not good , so sorry u had bad experience let’s hope mines is genuine, can’t u appeal against that ?

mattjoachim profile image
mattjoachim in reply to Jackiejack123

I appealed already and have won my appeal What i trying to point out you never know what they exactly writing down or what box they have ticked. In the future you may be able to see what they writing down if they go by what recommendations the work and pensions select committee have put forward

Agree. And DM's are not medically trained.

I sweetie I have just seen your post. I know exactly how you felt. I was exactly the same I burst out in tear halfway through. It really does make you realise how poorly we are. I also had a lovely lady and she was so lovely about everything she was even putting words into my mouth as to help me with the assessment. I am so pleased that you also got a lovely lady. Please let us know how you get on. Take good care of yourself and I am sure everything will be ok for you. I got enhanced rate on both. Love and hugs 🤗🤗🌹🌹😘😘👍

I know sweetie. It’s really a stressful time. Once it has come through you will settle down. I will keep my fingers crossed 🤞 for you. Take good care of yourself sweetie. Love and hugs 🤗🤗🌹🌹😘😘👍

That's quite good the assessor putting words in your mouth because of most of us with fibro can't remember the words were looking for.

She was really good and very helpful. I couldn’t of asked for better. However I truly feel for the people that have a tuff time with some off the assessor.

Having it all set down in black and white definitely brings it home. At least that is one more stage done and dusted so fingers crossed you get the outcome you deserve. Good luck. x

Good luck, glad too hear she was lovely. The hard bit is over and done with, have some rest and take it easy now. Keep us posted and try not to stress too much x
