Getting 2-4 hour sleep/broken sleep. I've tried promethazine hydrochloride which do nothing. Zopiclone which works for an hour or 2. And temazepam which work for an hour and a half. It's common with Fibro but it may help to concentrate on the anxiety first.

I still have a few issues with sleep but working with professionals to manage the anxiety also helped with my sleep.

Have you had a sleep study done. Sometimes sleep Sonora can cause 15-30 awakenings an hour with drop in O2 levels. A CPap Machine may be the answer. Restless legs fan cause 150 wakenings an hour so meds directed at that can really help. Medications should be prescribed to fit your particular sleep problem. Ask your GP to organize one!

Hi Ladyfa, I was recommended by a friend to try 5htp, I had never heard of it, but thought what the heck. May as well give it a try. some nights it does help, but not always. 180 tablets for about £10. I would say it helps about 70% of the time.

I take Pregabalin, Amitriptyline, Co-Dydramol and Tramadol 30 minutes before bed - still can only get 1.5 to 2 hours unbroken sleep - also have Zopiclone for when it gets really bad. Just learning to live with it I think.

a thought. tramadol kept me awake all night. if ni take tramadol (which is terribly addictive) i take two in the morning only. certainly pregabalin amitryptyline pregabalin help with sleep. try taking amitryptyline about 6ish as it may take a few hours to get in your system.

Have you tried any natural techniques? Deep breathing from the belly, ocean sounds you can get on apps, mindfulness, lightning process. Google Phil Parker for a book on the latter, can be very helpful for anxiety and pain. My daughters life has been transformed by it.

Hi, I find that taking the Zopiclone every 2 nights instead of every night works better. They don't work every night. I have one night with no Zopiclone then have 2 the next night. Give it a try it may work for you. As for the Pregablin take them at least 3-4 hours before sleep. I also find after having my Zopiclone that a snack before bed helps the tablets get into my system quicker.😉
