Hello, new to this forum!

I got diagnosed with Fibro about a year ago. I have also got under-active thyroid and coeliac disease and have had Anorexia for nearly 20 years

Before my diagnosis, I had never heard of Fibro and I struggle to find much information about it, and how to cope with it. I am hoping that some members could help with that :) I originally went to my GP because I was having so much joint pain, so she sent me to a Rheumatologist and that's when I was diagnosed.

I guess what I am really asking is does it get worse? My pain seems to have got worse ten-fold since I got diagnosed. The Rheumatologist suggested I take a painkiller that also was a mild anti-depressant (sorry cannot remember the name) but I refused to take it as it has a link to a gain in weight or increase of appetite (my anorexia) but he didn't suggest anything else. He said to try and get more sleep, but I sleep terribly, just cannot drift off at all (I'm lucky if I get a few hours a night) and I can't seem to find anything that will help. I had also been referred to a Neurologist as my GP wants to check my pain isn't nerve-related.

I had heard that some people took Cannabis oil for Fibro and wondering if anyone on here could give me some advice for what I could try. Thank you very much for taking the time to read my post and look forward to any suggestions.
