Today I have had excruciating pain just under my shoulder blades. It is almost like a cramp has anyone else had this?
I think I’m pretty run down generally, I have a mouth that’s very sore and has a few ulcers, I’m also getting on going migraines which my my meds help and but seem to be taken longer to take effect and once they have worn off the migraine comes back, full force. I’m sorry for moaning it just feels never ending including my body being so sensitive even clothes hurt. 😖😞

Bless you Hun, I’m so sorry that you’re suffering. I get pain and that crampy feeling in my neck, across my shoulders, down my upper back and upper arms. It’s uncomfortable and incredibly painful. Medication barely touches the pain when the crampy feeling takes hold. My headaches occur because of this too. The pain, exhaustion, skin sensitivity are also some of the many symptoms us and many other fibromites suffer from. I personally find that the cold weather exacerbates these symptoms.
It’s incredibly frustrating Hun so feel free to moan, rant or whatever else to us because that’s what you’re fibro friends and family are here for. Fibro is quite complex so ask as many questions as you want to etc.
I personally find that a soak in an Epsom salts bath can help or heat pads and a hot water bottle on the effected areas can take the edge off the pain.
Please take care of yourself Hun and feel free to talk anytime you want to.
I use hot water bottle and visit GP I had physiotherapy which helped to ease up the muscles so now have more movement in arm hot water bottles help a lot then when muscle is warm do gentle stretching and circle movements and deep breathing exercises
I get those types of pains also .... apart from the migraines although I have been getting a really bad headache that shifts to bearable and until I can take next dose of pain killers ...
Feel free to moan away. We all do this . Some more than others but you can guarantee that we have all been through what you are going through and we all have needed to come here and get it off our chests. That's what we here for ...
I hope you feel better soon ..
Big hugs
Aud xx
Hi hun only just reading back end of yesterdays posts--- have you ever tried using a TENS machine on those sore areas? Maybe look at the leaflet in your meds and see if the sore mouth/ulcers is a side effect? I have to use a mouthwash for sjorgrens-Difflam from pharmacy (although if it is the meds ask gp for a bottle) as for the migraines if the ask your gp if you can try Sumatriptine, they stop the onset of a migraine before it becomes serious, lots of members on here us this with good effect... Hope you feel more alive quite soon..
Hi, I’m already on sumatriptan it does work but recently it is taking longer and longer to work. I am making a gp appointment next week so will discuss it with her. Xx
Hi there, i suffer very badly with that pain in my left shoulder blade. It as been my constant companion since last summer. Try to sleep with it ia a nightmare. I can understand how you are feeling. I hope you get some answers from your Gp xx
Sorry to come to this late but I'm so glad to read I'm not alone in this! I have debilitating cramps/ spasms almost weekly in my armpits. It's so bad, I come close to fainting. I've vomited once because of it.
I get it about once a week but I've realised it's always when I'm tense (being cold sets it off). The only thing I've found that helps is to lay on the floor with my arm above my head. The weight of the arm stretches it out.
