Hi all, I have just been sitting here thinking about the bigger picture when it comes to having fibromyalgia and have even doubted in the past that I even have this condition due to so many other symptoms manifesting after my diagnosis in September 2015 up until now. So thought I should ask other sufferers if they are also experiencing the following symptoms too... because since around November 2014 (which was up until then very good) I have seen the following specialists for various problems:
Dermatology- skin rashes, lesions and photosensitivity
Ophthalmology- for a cyst that's developed within my lacrimal gland and attached to my eye ball, dry eyes and narrow angles which required laser treatment to reduce my risk of developing angle-closure glaucoma
Rheumatology- Raynaud's phenomenon, and undifferentiated connective tissue disease
Neurology- Fibromyalgia, trigeminal neuralgia, carpal tunnel right wrist, reduced eye-movement right eye which has resulted in the inability of my brain to fuse the two images from both of my eyes into one image, meaning I have constant double vision.
And over the past six months I have also suffered from extreme fatigue and balance problems, heat intolerance and inability to regulate my body temperature resulting in excessive sweating, bladder urgency and incontinence, breathing problems and I also struggle once or twice a month with difficulty swallowing both food and or fluids.
I am just curious to know if anybody else also has had the same experiences and in such a short space of time, basically going from healthy to bombarded with a lifetimes worth of health problems in two years?

I suffer with fatigue. Dizziness. Heat intolerance. Can't regulate my temperature. Excessive sweating. bladder urgency and choke on food often among other things. what a wonderful illness it is. Take care 💜 Angie
The list goes on and on but we don't all get the same ones. Ins is part of fibro but I don't get that. I get vision blurring but nothing like you describe. I've suffered things that I'm only just finding out are fibro too....... I'm trying to pass off eating too much cheese as a symptom but don't hold out much hope 😜 take care x
Hi Queencara78. I get blurred vision and dry eye but optician says eyes are fine and gave me drops for dry eye. My temperature control is terrible I get the sweats when everyone else is cold and freeze when its hot. I have a constant feeling of something stuck in my throat and have to drink when eating or I choke and have choked on nothing when not eating or drinking. Tinnitus, hearing loss, vertigo, chronic fatigue, cognitive problems, joints and muscle pain....the list seems endless and has grown steadily since 2014. Before this apart from arthritic knees I was fit and didn't even get colds. Ive been discharged from consultants because the put everything down to fibro.
Heya i also have pain , fatigue, heat intolerance and sweating, bladder urgency and frequency and mild incontinence. Also hypoglycemia, blurred vision, insomnia etc etc.
I am so genuinely sorry to read of all of the issues that are presenting themselves to you and I have to admit that I have so many of them it is hard to keep track of what is ailing me? I get short of breath very easily but I also have heart failure and COPD? I also get photosensitivity and facial pain with blurred / double vision but I have migraines so severe I have passed out? It is so difficult to diagnose anything like this?
Therefore we have our golden rule on the admin threads. If a symptoms is new, perseveres or gets any worse please talk to your doctor about it as not every pain can be Fibro related.

I am surprised we are all so sane!!.....when you look at the affects of Fibro and all related conditions....What I would like to know is where has fibro has come from I never heard of this condition as a child (long time ago!) I know there was Fibrositis (I think?) but it doesn't appear to have all the other conditions attached.....xx
It makes you wonder doesn't it Trikki. No one seems to be interested in finding out why it starts and like you I had not heard of it years ago. No one in my family had it although I know of family members who have similar symptoms but diagnosed with other things such as hypothyroidism and another has MS. Yet fibromyalgia seems to be an increasingly diagnosed condition with not much info attached to it. Mysterious. RayB asked something similar to this on another post a few days ago. All comes down to money again I guess.
