I really can't cope with any more claims and I certainly can't work I just won't know what to do next if they fail me I've read so many stories about people who are actually Truely ill get failed and struck off any advice is much appreciated I've not slept at all in days since I got my appointment letter my insomnia is at its high, it's a home assessment by the way....thank you in advance

Hi
If you are genuine to ill to work I am sure you will be fine assessment is not based on your illness but on what you could or could not do looking at a working environment .
The focus is on trying to get people back into work
You would also be able to claim other benefits if successful
Yes I'm genuinely ill just reading so many stories lately of genuinely ill people getting denied benefits or struck off them I won't have it in me to carry on fighting the system brings my flare ups on an panic attacks on just don't know if can carry on trying to prove the effects of a days work does to me an then making another claim its all so exhausting and debilitating can't cope with it all but I'm guessing they will make me claim something altho ivdont know what other benefits i can claim or they will assume I'm working althoughim not i dont leave my home for 80% of my time and I send in 3 month fit notes and still awaiting psychotherapy as well so the fit notes will continuE ...ok thanks for your reply
Hi Mel, I had a minor miracle this week when I received a letter from ESA to say I had been put in support group, without having to attend for an assessment. I was transferred from the old incapacity benefit. The relief was immense as I had been waiting for months to find out what was happening. Just wanted you to see it's not always negative. The only advice I can give you is to have as much evidence/ letters of support from doctors as possible. I photocopied every bit of medical evidence I had that backed up what I was saying, including a letter from rheumatology dated from about 20 years ago that stated I had had juvenile arhritis ! I requested a copy of my medical records from the gp, if cost £10 and I went through everything. Good luck, I hope you get the right result. Oh and definitely have someone go with you.
You were one of the lucky ones I also had letters from Rheumatology going back to 10 years ago Also letter from Nephrologist stating about my chronic kidney and also kidney scarring. It did not seem to be looked at as they scored me 0 points until i went to tribunalwhere i got 24 points
Hi shazzzy thanks u for yr reply and adcice. That is a really positive outcome one thats not usually heard from the dwp well not that ive read or heard so thats good to read u must be so releived as these are so stressful arnt they. I have sent in my rheumatology discharge report this letter explains my diagnosis and the problems im having with it an the medication he put me on and the fact that theres no more help he can give me. Also letters from my gp and evidence of aids an adaptions from my OT etc the only letter i dont think ive sent in is my gps letter from 2012 expaining my illnesses from back then when i first apied for dla so would this letter be beneficial for me even tho from 5 years ago do u think i should send it in ? Or will the assessor take this from me and use it towards my claim do u think ? God im soo anxious and its not until tuesday. My recent gps letter was a good explanation too hes amazing my gp to be honest an my mum thought his evidence would be enough but it wasnt unfortunately so i have to face this strange doctor on tuesday and go thru every illness its exhausting as theres so many..ive never claimed esa before as when i was knocked back dla years ago i accepted it an fought thru life until my dad took a bad turn i became his carer but as of 2016 ive not been able to continue an so been on assessment phase esa ever since. Well just got to see what happens i suppose. Thank for your reply and advice 😊
Oh shazzzy forgot to ask what do u mean medical notes from gp ? Is this something i can ask for ?

Hi Mel, your medical notes are everything to date that doc has on file of yours. It also made me realise just how long I have had different health problems, which was a bit depressing but gave me more info to provide. You usually put it in writing that you would like a copy of your medical notes and hand it in to receptionist. It took a week to receive them. I would send by registered post anything you have to add. All the best
Esa have always been very understanding and not judgemental irs a general talk about how your feeling good luck be honest and they ll see it xxxxx
Hi treewade thank u for yr reply this is positive input i do hope i get an understanding assesso. Yes i was very honest with my pip assessor and i did pass this for standard care and high mobility but there was also incorrect answers on some of the questions so i was confused as to the little lies being said but obviously didnt complain due to my passing the assessment so im now aprehensive about the reoort being incorrect for my esa assessment but fingers crossed just a few more days and hopefully in the new year will have my results xxx
Well cant say that is true. I got apology from assessors who carried out ESA assessment and yes they were judgemental in report they wrote so as far as is led to my benefit been suspended which they get rubber stamped by DM in DWP
The ICE looked at my case and made Maximus apologize to me and also made them give me consolatory payment for carrying out misleading assessment.
Hi mattjoatchim. Thats brill you getting an apology etc. Can i ask did u have to attend a tribunal ? I wont be able to make it to a tribunal so im im really hoping i wont get to that 😐
Ajay575 i replied to yr message last night and its disappeared 🤔 did you receive it ? It was a long reply so dont want to write it again if you did an dont want to u to think i didnt reply i dont understand how its disappeared 😐
Yes i still had to attend Tribunal. A copy of letter of apology along with them admitting on this letter, that assessment had lots of omissions and it lacked detail in relation to my illness in many areas , DWP would not change their original decision and i still had to go to Tribunal. In your case as you getting home visit it a good sign and you recently have favourable PIP decision another positive sign for you.
Good Luck with assessment
Aww I hold my hat off to you going through tribunal as I do for all who do I know there a very stress full situation to be in, no way could I cope with that, and oh will these be a positive in my favour well that's good to know I do still hope for the best tho and thank you so much
Ahhh dont know what happened i did see it sent but today it has disappeared 🤔. Thank you
