ESA assessment paranoia

Chazzoir profile image
8 Replies

Had my ESA assessment medical two + weeks ago. The nurse was lovely, no complaints.

But, I've heard nothing back. Do I need to keep trying to get appointments for my monthly fit note or not?

I have horrid depression/anxiety/paranoia.

Getting an appointment isn't great here.

Hi Chazzoir. As said, keep with the sick notes, until you hear they're not needed. Personally, I wouldn't ring them - but each to their own...

Fingers crossed you get the help you need, do let us know how you get on. xx

It takes for the result to come 4 to 8 weeks wait.

You just carry on as normal the DWP will contact you when they are ready, i waited ages for an answer but no news is good news and you will still get your benefits paid so don't worry too much about it.

Keep getting your 'fit' notes from the doctors. Can you not just call up and get one without an appointment? Only ask as this is what they do at my doctors.

I didn't hear back for 8 weeks after going for my ESA assessment xx

Also maybe ask the doctor for a longer 'fit' note? I got mine to last 2 months at a time xx
