I'm so sorry my lovely wipe your tears we re with you, it's sheer ignorance I'm afraid tell them if shoe was on the other foot they mite realise . Is there a good friend to come give you a hug today ?? Xxx
I'm wondering if it's your family sister not surporting could doc print off information sheets for them to read better still take sis with you on next appointment some one needs to get it through to them in order they help you and not make you cry . A great shame when your nearest dearest are reacting this way it's happened to the best of us take care xx
Also just a quick question . What job would be easier to do wth fibromyalgia. I'm suffering a lot. I need a easy job but the job I'm in at the moment it was my second day yesterday until someone scratch
My new car and I can't go work tomorrow but I can't bee stood around on my feet for 6hour doing nothing xx
I'm so sorry you're feeling so alone with all the pain. I understand how that feels. Don't give up, you will find a way forward, but it takes patience and time. It's really really hard when friends and relatives don't understand and have no sympathy. I've had some really low times myself, and to be frank, you need to get support from where ever you can find it. For me that was phoning the samaritans, particularly after my father died, and they were so great, really understanding and supportive. Don't hold back, get the support you need.
I know. It's terrifying but best not to let your mind dwell on the 'what ifs'. Talk to someone about your fears and then try and get back to the present moment if you can. I know my mind can torture me with the 'what ifs' so I have to use strategies to deal with it (I've also got a small benign brain tumour which I've been told will one day give me seizures so I know how scary the 'what ifs' can be!)
I hear you hun- my family were just the same many years ago when fibro started, when my daughter was diagnosed they really changed their tune! I find immersed in warm water is good relief or just stand under the shower on high speed and gently stretch. what pain relief have you got Hayley95 ?
Not a lot of good for pain really- ask your gp to try you with co codamol strong if you can take them, avoid anti eplileptic drugs like gabapentin/pregabelin they can be quite fierce and upset you.
I feel your pain im feeling at rock bottom right now i cant seem to do right from wrong cant say the right thing even oh is always getting on at me dont think anyone in my life really understands what im going through.take care joanne x
My family and friends find this illness hard to deal with as it is difficult to treat and as far as I know, impossible to cure. I ask how can they understand something that I don't really understand myself. I won't stop trying though and will keep fighting. Xx
There's a really good book called 'fighting fatigue' by sue pemberton/Catherine berry.
If you are only going to read one book then this is it!
Anyways, skipping to the point, there is a whole chapter just for carers, family, friends, anyone really and it's written in such a way it's really helped me turn non believers into believers. Might be worth a try... the rest if the book is really good too
