ATOS? Sorry you are asking if suicide is the only answer, it isn't the only answer but to feel this way must be really horrible. Let us know if we can help in anyway

You are kind thank you. I feel so depressed it's hard to feel positive about anything

Do you have someone who can go with you - if you attend the appointment you have a chance things will remain the same - not going it’s a guaranteed no.

Go along be yourself explain things and if it gets stopped at least you can appeal.

I remember seeing a news story once about this woman who had, had a stroke it showed her trying to turn on a tap with her arms cause she had no use of her hands but she was declared fit for work! This system is so messed up its unreal.

No ones denying it’s not a fair system or fit for purpose but not attending is just silly because then you get declined and no chance of appeal

Welcome to the FMAUK Community! :)

So sorry you feel the way you do, but as you say if you don't fill in the forms your money will stop and this could cause more problems with your financial situation, debt and more worries. Seems illogical to not to go to the appointment and then await the decision. Why not, try to get the best advice you can to aid the possibility of getting the answer you deserve.

If you wish to talk to someone about your benefit claim, you can contact the FMAUK Benefits Advisor. The contact information as well as other helpful websites can be found in the post below;

Please know we are here to listen and members will try to provide helpful advice or signpost you to resources, as many of us have been through this claiming benefits. If you need to talk due to feeling low or distressed please reach out to the Samaritans, link below;

I sincerely wish you well with your claim and I am sending strength and positive vibes to you

Keep strong
