Hello, I'm Sam...this is my 1st post, I have osteoarthritis... now thinking am I in the wrong group...
I am in so much pain on a daily basis, I have pretty much zero quality of life, and truth be known I wanted to speak to like minded people who 'get me' and don't pity me or even understand what I'm going thru... people seem to think oh you got a bad knee get over it!!!!

You are in the right group here, Sam. You will get lots of support from people who care. I'm sorry that you are in so much pain just now. Pain can be difficult to cope . When I'm feeling really down I try to read a good book or watch a good film. It will get better. X
Hi SammyJoxx No really you are not on the wrong websight , mny of our fibro sufferers have OA/RA and other arthritic illnesses.
Hi Sam..I too have Osteoarthritis which is in my lower spine. I also have Fibro (25 years) and M.E. This last year has been tough..I went from walking all the time and working in a physical job to doing Pilates and resting. Don't listen to the synical people (I admit I was one of them until this year)....listen to your body. Gentle exercise is key..trust me I know it hurts but just take a deep breath and learn to manage your pain. Hope you get some relief soon...don't feel too low..I just call myself tinman as it can be debilitating but don't give in!
Hi there SammyJoxx nice to meet you. As some of our lovely members have said while we are a fibro forum many of us do know what it is like to suffer with OA/RA i'm another I have it in my spine and other places. Your more than welcome to join our group if you think we could be of help. After all imo pain is pain no matter what.
You may like to take a look at our mother site it has a wealth of information some you may find helpful. fmauk.org. I hope you have a nice evening and we see you around the forum. Please feel welcomed xx
I have OA too, so welcome Sammyjoxxx. Gentle exercise/gentle stretching and pacing really helps me, along heat pads, meditation and mindfulness, distractions, getting outside and the lovely folk on here. x
I would advise that you make a list of how you are feeling, symptoms, frequency etc and take it to your GP - if you want to pursue and find out about Fibro then you should push your GP for help xx
Welcome Sam you will find many people like myself have osteo and fibro and there are so many of the symptoms that overlap. Hope you find good support here ask any questions and we will try to help.x
Welcome Sammyjoxx. I have chronic osteoarthritis and fibro and since finding this site I don't feel so alone and have found support and understanding. I hope you find the same as Im sure you will. hugs Joolz.x
