Flu jab with fibro if you get a strain of Flu you will wonder what pain is all about!!
I was advised not to have the vaccination
I always get the flu jab, I am really ill for a few days afterwards and have a massive bruise but *touch wood* haven't had anything major in the last three years since getting them done xxx
I always have flu jab. Not just for me as I get bad chest infections otherwise and it does seem to give a protective effect - there was a paper in the Lancet years ago - anyway, my granddaughter is immuno - compromised and so I would never miss in order to help to protect her. It leaves me pretty ropey and in a lot of pain for a good week but a small price to pay in my opinion.
I have always avoided the flu jab ( I was entitled as a carer and being a coeliac! ) however when drs saw me last year I was told to have it due to my new diagnosis and having two new diseases. Was fine afterwards and didn't get my yearly chest infection. I would now take a few days of ropeyness from jab then have the flu. I know it doesn't do all strains but rather be covered a little bit.
😀
Never had it and never will
People I no whom have had it done are always very poorly after
I'm poorly all the time don't want to be worse
Also I'm going to Australia in oct for a month x
I work in NHS they send VERY strongly worded emails urging us to get done. As I react to most medication I have chosen not to take up the offer. But... wondered what others thought. Still very much individual choice. Thank you
i always get the flu jab. i have done for years and - touch wood - so far I have only had slightly sore arm for a few days.
initially i had it because I was a single parent of two children with asthma. Now I get it because for reduced immunity? I guess it is pot luck how our bodies react to it? I think i have been lucky so far.
I've had it in the past but not last year. I always get a swollen arm and it makes me feel like vomiting for a few days. Sometimes the vaccine doesn't work because they can't be exactly sure what strain will hit. It's suppose be a bad strain this season. Still I don't think I'll be bothering. It is advisable to get it though.
I don't know. I've never had one, but I think I might because the last 2 years I've had shocking flu/cold
I won't be having it. The last one I had 2 years ago made my arm hurt for over 6 months afterwards and I still got the flu. I think it mucked up my immune system. My Dad always has it because he has copd. If I get a cold or flu I will just avoid contact with him.
I always have the flu jab..I do get a sore arm for a few days but that's it.
I have a heart problem plus type 2 diabetes..My Fibro is not affected by the jab..rather a sore arm than the flu.The dominant strain this year is included
In the jab this time they have it right...I recommend getting it done..xxx
My wife and I get our flu jab next week
I've been wondering the same thing recently. After reading everyone's replies I'm still wondering lol. Xxx
