Hi Lorraine sorry your not feeling too good 😔

With your pain killers can you set an alarm on your phone to go off when your next medication is due? If they contain paracetamol you can take them when you wake up and then set the alarm for 4-6 hours later, remember not to take more then the recommended daily dose.

I always have my morning medication on my bedside table with a glass of water and then take more at lunch, teatime and when I go to bed so I don't forget, I also put Epsom salts in the bath and soak for as long as I can-I've found this helps with the pain too.

Hope your feeling better soon and sending hugs 🤗.

I stocked up on the big bags from B&M, they were only £2.99 I think and they have been a life saver for me.

That pill box is a great idea. I'm on solpadol which is the same as zapain. The side effects do pass eventually, have you tried just taking 1 or if you have to take 2 usually having a small snack may help.

Hope your feeling a little better. Sending hugs to you 🤗🤗🤗xx

Hi my friend

How disgusting that your GP would not tell you!

I take Naproxen myself which is an anti inflammatory. I have heard of Zapain before but never taken it.

Does it say on the boxes how many times per day to take your medications?

I would strongly advise you to call your local pharmacist (the one that dispenses your meds would be best) and ask them about how to space your drugs out.

There are certain meds that should not be taken together and some that should be spaced out.

By the way I know that Lloyds Pharmacy sells Epsom Salts. You can buy a fairly large pack of them for a £1. My last pack lasted for about 4 baths.

Please let us know how you get on.

Gentle hugs Lu xx

PS I have just found out that Zapain contains codeine and paracetamol, so you must not take any other medication that contains paracetamol at the same time as your Zapain.

thankyou lovely....that's more imformation than my doctor has ever given me...he just said take all your other tablets the same.....but I don't want to make myself poorly...I will go to my pharmacist and talk to them about spacing....and I will defently try this Epsom salts...I tried a deep heat one and wish I hadn't lol...never got outta bath so quick........

You're very welcome hun :)

I don't get along at all well with any of the Deep Heat products.

I used some cream once on my back. Oh my word! It really burned!

I much prefer the Deep Freeze sprays, gels and patches. They just cool the area. I find them very useful.

Good luck with your pharmacist.

Hugs Lu xx

I agree with Lu, Zapain is also known as Codeine & paracetamol on a high dosage of 30/500 and shouldn't be taken with naproxen at the same time. maybe space these by Naproxen at morning, zapaine at next 4 hours, and so on BUT only take the precribed dose out of each box . or do it the other way round if you need pain relief when you get up.

hi lovely...yes I usually take 2 Zapain first thing in the morning...then a hour later..take my usual tablets with my breakfast..then .and so on through the day with food...I don't take that many of zapain now...just when I really need it..but its when to take the naproxen I struggle with

Hello Rotty from Nurse Gladys Emanuel (open all hours) can you tell me what you take daily I might be able to help you space them out better and take some to help with sleep?

hi lovely...yes heres my medication..let see fingers crossed you can help... I take Gabapentin 3x day..then to go along side Naproxen and Zapain...then I'm also on Lisinolpril 1x day..which I manage ok. xx

in reply torottweiller69

Going on further I would advise you to take the gabpent with the naproxen and keep the zapain separately 4 hours later MAKE SURE YOU HAVE FOOD IN YOUR SYSTEM BEFORE NAPROXEN. your linsinporol as it say on the box. Naproxen can have effects on your digestive system so food is essential even if is just a cream cracker you need food in your stomach . I found zapain cause a bit of constipation so lots of fruit as well . Hope you get better relief .
