Finally got an appointment for Orthopedics. Is this the correct person to see first?
I feel like the use of my arms is now 50% of what it used to be. I think I could sleep on a washing line. Still no medication yet. Just pain killers that do nothing.

I see you have very low vitd, has your GP done a calcium blood test ? Low vitd, pain and exhaustion can indicate a parathyroid problem. If calcium came back high you would need a parathyroid blood test.
I am very sorry but I am slightly confused by your question.
You have asked who is the correct person to see first. Are you asking about who is the best person to see regarding your arms or are you asking about Fibromyalgia?
My doctor said its Fibro but she wants me to have more tests to confirm this . She has started with Orthopedics. Just wanted to see if that was a normal procedure for Fibro.
If you are being referred to a specialist it is often a rheumi or a neuro specialist. It could be because you are having difficulty with your arms it is something in your neck, shoulders or back so might be sending you to someone specialising in Orthopedics first to rule that out. Good luck with the appointment letter us know how you get on.x
While I am genuinely delighted that you finally have an hospital appointment my friend it may have been better to have been given a referral to Rheumatology first as they diagnose most Fibro cases. However, I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck and please take care of yourself my friend.
