Dear friends, I heard this was a good website where people respond readily, so I am all trying to help others, if at all possible, before of a lifetime sufferer myself. I expect, like many, so many treatments have been tried with disappointing results. I am one for natural and herbal products always above drugs, who cause other problems, but am also allergic to many.
I am in a massive flare-up right now of Fibromyalgia, which started again just after a shower. I know my body cannot take any dampness, but was o.k. when I started, but woke up with excruciating pain in my neck, head and right shoulder yesterday which has now spread all over my body. It is just crippling and difficult even to type in such pain. Recently I had some success with taking Serrapeptose enzyme (quite expensive) as it is anti-inflammatory and supposed to help Fibro. I was amazed that after taking them only for 3 days, I got a little relief, for after 10 days, I was free from the fibro pain. It was quite amazing. I have jaw and weak muscles so cannot swallow tablets of capsules but was able to take the powder out and distribute it spread 3 times before meals throughout the day. So now being in this awful state again, have just started to take them again. Only 30 capsules for £16.
The only other thing I am now taking is Olive Leaf Extract, as it lowers BP and is anti-inflammatory and is a natural anti-biotic. (I am allergic to many drugs and also anti-biotics anyway). Only been taking this a week, liquid form, so cannot yet say success or otherwise. All I know is that Olives are one of the best products, or foods, to take.************ as the leaf for medicine, in ************
yes, ********************* the herbs of the field for our use.
Would welcome any suggestions that others may have tried to ease the pain of Fibro and movement. I suppose morphine is the last resort, but one cannot get that easily. Always go for herbs in preference.
This was just an introduction. Sincerely, with love from Roselil.

Hi Roselil Welcome to our wonderful forum 😀 I'm sure you will find it invaluable chatting to others who have similar experiences and at different stages of their lives with fibromyalgia.
I'm sorry you are in so much pain and having such an awful flare my friend. I'm wondering if you have been referred to a pain clinic, they take a bit more of an holistic stance and can refer you for a number of treatments that could help you, for e.g. Hydrotherapy, accupunture, CBT which helps you to think differently and helps you accept and learn to manage living with chronic Pain condition.
Gentle Yoga stretches, mindfulness/meditation all helps
Please do go check out the mother site fmauk.org where you will find lots of useful information and links on fibro.

Welcome to the forum. There are quite a few members who like you find it difficult to take prescription drugs for many reasons. They have been quite successful with more natural remedies and healthy eating. I have had bad side effects from some prescription drugs normally prescribed for fibro and lower back pain , antidepressants for one don't suit me at all.
It is a pity that your body doesn't respond well to water as hydrotherapy is a very natural way of helping with the pain. Have you tried seeing a Chinese medicine/acupuncturist?
Let us know how you get on with the Olive leaf extract.x
Hello Roselil, Janet and rosewine have good advice. I myself would like to try acupuncture. Unfortunately I have not found any good natural remedies and take prescription drugs for pain I have fibro and oa and chronic fatigue. Also b12 inj. Vit d and iron for anemia. I hope your pain has eased up for you. Chris
Dear cespinosa, So sorry you have not yet found any good natural remedies to help. They do take much longer to work than ordinary drugs, so please remember that. I am much like you, with M.E. or CFS, and other serious stomach problems too.
I have just read on Facebook about patches, which I might try, forget the name, Acti ...... but not much good where pain is all over the body, but if I could get some relief for my neck and shoulder, that would be a bonus. I do use Bio-freeze which helps temporarily, as this was recommended to me by a christian physiotherapist years ago when I was on holiday and could not even tolerate the movement in the wheelchair. I used it 4 times on Sunday, and it does freeze the pain for a while. You can buy it from Boots or Superdrug at £9.99 I think, but well worth the cost. I used it twice yesterday. Hope you might try it. sincerely, Roselil
Thank you for your welcome. It is good to be able to share with others, and most certainly, if I have found anything to help, I will pass it onto others.
I am fine generally, as I am a christian and it is the Lord who keeps me.
Just that most of my life has been one of illness and pain, yet I know I am not the only one. I believe all my troubles started from taking a polio-vaccine as a schoolgirl and became ill shortly afterwards. Then with wrong drugs being given, became disabled as well years later. I trust natural herbs and the fruits of the field which God has given for medicine.
Right now, am on a course of Olive Leaf extract, which is an anti-inflammatory herb, and also Serrepeptose which is a natural enzyme, with anti-inflammatory properties. Just now going through a severe flare-up of Fibromyalgia, with ME, and other add-ons. Keeping busy though on computer, by the grace of God.
Thank you. My symptoms are much worse this flare-up, as on a very short journey, we had a slight accident in the car which gave me such a whip-lash, so feel I am paying for this right now. Any travel for anyone with severe fibromyalgia is a painful experience, indeed any movement at all, even in the wheelchair. The kerbs and pavements are shocking!
But we keep pressing on, doing what little we can, and thankful for a computer, though fingers are very weak and painful. I wear hand-supports.
