Nice start to the Bank Hoilday

I got home today at the end of yet another gruelling exhausting week which I dragged myself to work through, even having to stay late, and was welcomed by a letter from my manager inviting me to a formal attendance review with HR on Thursday. The same manager whom I had spent most of the day with, who told me all about her plans for the "glorious Bank Holiday". She is off now on leave until, yep, you guessed it, Thursday! I was diagnosed last week with Rheumatoid arthritis now on top of the Fibromyalgia, so as I am sure you all can appreciate, has meant I have been more than a little upset and still I dragged myself into work because I believed that was "the right thing to do" this is very obviously not a phrase that my manager is familiar with. I am So upset by her not forewarning me that this letter was coming today.

  • Gosh that sounds quite underhand....I am sorry. Do you have a Union? They will be there for you..companies have an obligation to make things easier for you at work....Let us know how you get on....x

  • Awww Lizzy-m {{ hugs}}

  • Oh bless you Lizzy-m I do feel for you, that's horrible, as you say, you would have thought she would have told you. I can understand how this is upsetting for you my friend.

    As Trikki says, union are always helpful. Can you have an independent person with you, its not so stressful if you are not on your own.

    I do hope it all goes well for you and pls do come back to let us know how it goes.

    Luv Jan xx

  • Thanks folks, I am doing my best to put it out of my mind. I have today taken my second dose of Methotrexate so have more important things to think about. So difficult trying to stay upbeat when you feel so much seems to be against you. Lots of love ♡♡
