Had this since I was 25

I was diagnosed in early 98 after my hysterectomy my pain has gone from mild to severe and mild, now it has had a bad trigger since another op in January, I'm on tramadol plus other meds as more things seem to go wrong, I'm not going to let it beat me as I am otherwise a very active person but it won't be long until I will need the use of a crunch or stick as I can't walk for too long anymore xx

Hello and a warm welcome to our friendly fibro forum where you can find advice, support, help and understanding.

Our mother site fmauk.org has a wealth of information including guides and links.

Unfortunately fibro does sometimes accompany other conditions including RA, and your rheumatologist is most likely to be the one to give you a formal diagnosis.

Take a look at the pinned posts on the homepage these will help with locking posts etc

Good luck my friend

Hi Hidden welcome to our wonderful forum ☺ I'm sure you will come to find the forum invaluable in chatting to others who are going through the same experience as you, talking to others at different stages of their lives with Fibro and learning from their experiences.

It does help with the whole process and I wish I had found the site years ago. I have had Fibro for nearly 30 yrs and I'm still learning about it, like we all are.

I'm like you but mine started before my hysterectomy, I had severe infection & had lots of antibiotics. It does seem a lot of people can relate to having an operation.

Please do go look at the mother site where you will find all the information you need and lots of useful links on Fibro and I look forward to chatting to you on the forum.
