Hi carpguy
I think you would be best speaking to your GP just to be sure I have this all the time and mostly I am told it is my fibro.
I too am a type 2 diabetic so it is always better to get it checked just to be sure.
Hi carguy
Welcome to the forum
As you are newly diagnosed my best personal advice to you would be to take some time out (in your head) to try to come to terms with having a long term condition.
Acceptance can be incredibly hard.
Learn as much as you possibly can about Fibro. If you have a look at our mother site you'll find lots of information about Fibro on there
We do recommend that you lock your posts. I will pop back and give you a link to an easy to follow guide on how to lock your posts.

Hi Carpguy,
The symptoms sound strangely like Restless Leg Syndrome, however as you are Diabetic I would definitely mention to your GP who is best to diagnose.
For information only - here's a link to RLS on NHS Choices
nhs.uk/Conditions/Restless-...
Old wives tale if you do get a diagnosis of RLS is to put a scented bar of soap under the sheet at the foot of the bed - apparently helps some people !!!!
All the best
Emma
Hi carpguy,i too have type 2 diabetes well controlled but suffer pins and needles constantly in feet and hands. At night my legs feel like led weights I think for me it's fibro and restless leg! I hope your GP can help you get relief😋 your right lack of sleep can be torture my other aches and pains keep me awake I'm lucky if I get 4hrs at night😲take care chris
Hi carpguy
I sincerely hope that you are feeling as well as you possibly can be today? Welcome to the forum and it is wonderful to make your acquaintance.
I am so genuinely sorry to read of the issue that you have with your feet my friend. I am a type 1 diabetic and I have a similar problem. As Mdaisy says it could be Restless Leg Syndrome? However, with you being a diabetic it would be prudent to talk to your doctor about this in case you have any nerve damage.
I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck and please take care of yourself my friend.
All my hopes and dreams for you

hi ken thanks for your message i went to the doctors this morning he checked my feet had me lay down and raise my legs which now kill me grrr i have to go get some blood tests done for bone profile ect possible mri scan and i have extra strong pain killers which i hope at least take the edge of things.
Hi carpguy
I get this type of burning pain in my feet, especially my heels. I use magnesium oil on the skin and Epsom salts in the bath 2-3 times a week and never have any more symptoms. It might work for u. Anything is worth a try with that type of pain. Also make sure you get a good vitamin d inside you. All the best, Sarah xx
thanks for your reply sarah i will try anything
