Painful jaw
I get it occasionally. It's like my jaw locks or like it's stiff after not being used like my legs and knees feel sometimes. It's a tad painfull.
Hello, having a sore and painful jaw often accompanies fibro and is a recognised condition itself, TMJD. If you put it in the search box you will find other members experiences, also look to the right of your post in Related Posts.
I had this for a few days after visiting the dentist last week.
Sometimes the dentist can make you a plate to wear at night to stop you grinding your teeth if that is the cause.
Eating soft food and putting a wrapped hot water bottle against your jaw will help, but there is nothing that will completely take it away.
If you have not been diagnosed with this officially, it would be worth seeing your doctor.
I agree with bluebell, I know I grind and clench at night and I have a made to measure shield to wear, if I don't my jaws ache the next day, I told my dentist this week about aching teeth with no bad ones and he says it because of grinding and clenching, many night time pain sufferers do this!
Yes clunky and sometimes hard to move. Other times pain from ear right around jaw to chin. Ive had back teeth out needlessly trying to stop it. Didn't work should have kept my teeth.
