I need a new mattress but feel I'm spoilt for choice , I've been looking at the N.rem one designed for people with chronic pain ?, does anyone one here have one or has tried one , their expensive but I don't care if I were to get a more than 3 hrs sleep a night .

I know they're expensive but I have a VI spring mattress. It is really comfy & contains wool for warmth.

Thanks for all your replies greatly appreciated, we have had a memory foam in the past but my husband found it to hot , think the only thing for it is single beds lol

We have two three foot mattresses on a 6 foot wooden bed frame . You need to match the mattresses height wise, but it works well. I can wriggle about and get up without disturbing my OH and still sleep together. 😄

I've got a soft memory foam mattress and have no problem turning over. You do need to get a good one and try them out first. Also, we use a quilted mattress topper to stop any "hot" feeling. I think the mattresses have improved over the years. x

Never tried those down247- but avoid memory foam hun they are a bad idea for fibro cfs and ME you will find yourself stuck in these and unable to turn over ! Something firm that you can roll over on easily, try them out in the shops first they usually don't mind.

Hi there

I have a memory foam mattress and find it ok.

It is not a soft one so it is still possible to turn over and move around.

If you put "mattresses" in the search bar at the top right of your screen you will be able to read up on other people's posts about mattresses.

I know they are very expensive but I bought a Tempur Mattress and seriously it's the best one I've ever had. Over the years we have spent thousands on just about every one one the market. I got mine from Dreams as they do a 20 month interest free payment plan, and if your registered disabled you get the VAT back on certain mattresses. I hope you find the right one soon x

Hi my friend brought the tempa one it's very good but expensive but you carnt put a price on sleep or lack of it 😤😤😩

I'm not sure either I'm gonna go for a firm one as mines too soft o wake up every morning in pain and find it hard to get comfortable at night good luck

Adding my fivepennies worth. I had trouble turning on my very comfy memory foam mattress. Was recommended a Snoozle and now turning is a doddle.

Best wishes

Snoozle is a slide sheet, often recommended for pregnant ladies who have difficulty turning over.

They are available on Amazon and Ebay.

I prefer a memory foam topper as some mattresses can be too soft, you need to be aware too that some memory foam mattresses can make you too hot.

If you suffer from hot flushes then a m f mattress is probably not for you.

I find my topper is comfortable enough as it is on a sprung divan so it is not too hot or soft.

You can find them on Amazon, ebay, Argos, most department stores etc.

Do not go for the very cheap ones as it will take a while for the smell to go and they discolour and go flat more quickly,.

Hope this helps.
