Do you drink alcohol or take any medication that could affect liver enzymes ? You need further tests but they may be inconclusive. My liver enzymes have been raised for years but no reason found despite extensive tests including a biopsy.
Hi Juliem49
I sincerely hope that you are feeling as well as you possibly can be today? Welcome to the forum and it is wonderful to make your acquaintance. Please excuse this personal question but I was wondering if there was any chance that you could be pregnant? The levels that you have quoted are almost what a 28 - 38 week pregnant lady may show? If i have read the website below properly? I have pasted you a link to the Women's Health & Education Centre website:

I have also pasted you below a link to some Liver Forums that HU run, as they would have a better understanding of this than us.

I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck and please take care of yourself my friend.
All my hopes and dreams for you

Thankyou for your reply. I am definitely not pregnant as I had tubes removed years ago so unable to conceive. I am waiting to see liver specialist so hopefully can make sense of it all.
Hi Julie, you need a proper informed opinion because whilst i am sure there ar a few here whi could give you an answer to each one its what 2 or 3 of them combined may indicate that you need to know. Hope you get it sorted soon.
Blessings
Does a full liver screen mean the same as a liver function test as my specialist has ordered this & celiac blood test is there a link to liver problems & celiac?? Would be grateful of all replies as ggt 650, alka prosphates 279 & alanine aminiotransfereas 93 now got to wait another 8wks to see him again
Hi again Juliem49
According to the *liversupport.com there is a connection between liver damage & celiac. I have pasted an excerpt below:
*A handful of nutraceutical companies are selling digestive enzymes that may help break down gluten, but a gluten-free diet is currently the only known effective treatment for Celiac disease. Celiac disease is commonly associated with liver damage: More than half of untreated Celiacs have elevated liver enzymes.9 Feb 2012
I want to truly wish you all the best of luck my friend and please take care of yourself.
All my hopes and dreams for you
Ken
