Returning to work worries

Good morning all πŸ™‚

I'm just after a bit of advice after 14 months off work because of my illnesses being uncontrolled I belive I have got to a point where my medication has been adjusted to the right levels to enable me to return to work.

I was wondering how this would work regarding coming off universal credit as I believe its 1 month in arrears and I should be able to receive a final payment am I right in thinking this.

Also I have my pip tribunal coming up on Friday and I am wondering whether I should continue and have it?

The company im returning to work for have helped me so much in understanding my health issues and have put measures in place so I can return. I'm just worried that if I return to work I shouldn't be claiming PIP. My health condition hasn't improved so I'm unsure

Any advice given will be greatly appreciated

Just wanted to say congrats on being able to return to work πŸ₯³ Amazing stuff. And what a supportive employer.

I’m sure people with knowledge of PIP etc will get back to you soon. And the FMA benefits team might be able to help, if you get in touch x

Good luck with returning to work. I don't know about universal credits, but you can still claim pip when working - although they may review your claim as a change of circumstances

You can contact the FMA UK benefits team on 0300 999 0055 (Mon, Wed, Fri 10.00-12.00 ) or email benefits.advice@fmauk.org

Bound to have a bit of anxiety returning to work and it's nice to hear your employer has been supportive . Goverment have gov.uk/access-to-work which may be of some help if needing extra help. GL with PIP and GL with work

Hi there, it’s great that you’ve got to a point that you can return to work. I don’t know anything about universal credit, but I would definitely go ahead with your pip tribunal, if you’ve got so far and your health has not improved.

I also have a great employer and after a good while off I was able to return with adjustments and less hours.

My advice would be to pace as much as possible during and after work. Good luck with it all πŸ‘

I hope your company have things in place for you like a phase return to work, etc. And As far has I know you can still claim PIP whether your working or not.

I work in construction and I was unsure i would be able to return in my condition. Yeah they have put measures in place for my return. I can take as many breaks as I need to, I havr to limit any manual handling to a minimum and I can't lose my job for having unauthorised absence's.

I worked previously for them for the best part of 7 years and it was really amazing to receive their support πŸ™‚

Hi there good luck in returning to work I work full time and COVID has been a blessing as I don't need to get the body ready to travel to work I receive PIP and I need to work as I have a mortgage I just tend to do absolutely nothing at weekend and when I get home

Just go with the flow and if you can work from home then ask???? Don't get worked up about it as that could lead to a flare enjoy

Good afternoon all I hope you are as well as can be expected. Just a quick update I had my tribunal a week last Friday and I had the decision through the post today. The tribunal dismissed the decision by the secretary of state and awarded me the daily living component of pip as well as the mobility component πŸ™‚

Definitely worth going to a tribunal if you are unsuccessful with the dwp πŸ‘πŸ»
