Hi Shellieb68
If you look to the right of your post, you will see related posts which could help you, also type PIP in the search box for more help.
There are some definite things to remember and they are important,
Do not go alone!
Another is
Do not use public transport.
If you can, ring up and ask for your assessment to be recorded. They must have adequate warning to do this and you have to provide two machines, and remember to take an extension cord.
(In ESA assessments the equipment is provided).
If it is being carried out more that an hours travel from your home you could ring and ask for one nearer to you.
Remember you will be watched throughout the assessment and from your entry in the carpark, until you leave.
This information is not to make you worried, it is to prepare for the best outcome.
I am sure others will be along to give their advice too.

Oh Shellieb68 I'm feeling for you, I'm still waiting for them to get to me & somehow praying that by the time they do, it will all be changed lol..
Try to keep calm and i see bluebell99 has given you some good advise so just to wish you luck & every time it crosses your mind, think of chocolates xx
You have had marvellous advice from the others so I won't add to it apart from to say it might be good just to make some bullet points of the main things you want to get across as it is so easy on the day when we are beset with nerves to forget. They also really note your appearance so if you say you have difficulty dressing wear something that is easy to put on as they note things like whether you have something that has umpteen buttons on or knee high boots trying to disprove that you have problems with your hands. Don't wear makeup and don't wash your hair, I know it might go against the grain but they take your appearance into consideration. Good luck with it all let us know how you get onx
Good luck xx
Hi Shellieb68

I have pasted you a link below to the *CAB cache entitled: Preparing for your PIP assessment, so I truly hope that you find this useful:

They could go through everything you wrote to them about n record it again like my assessor did.I had body examination as I sat like bending down and turning hands over.I wasn't asked to walk out of wheelchair thou I offered.I had already rang DLA and also told her that I don't use my wheelchair as much now but rely on husband.I did break down n cry at one point when asked if family help. She was very kind to me. I had heard to look depressed but I didn't as I was just pleased to get out of the house but very nervous.
Some get bad assessors but mine was great. Hope yours is the great one.Let us know how you get on
Just to let everyone know I got my pip
