Hi Claire91

What you are describing is quite a common thing that Fibro peeps suffer from.

My hands often feel very stiff and painful and I hardly have any grip at times.

My knuckles feel hard to bend and almost as if my fingers are broken.

I have completely lost count of the amount of times that I have dropped things.

Unfortunately Fibromyalgia manifests itself in all different shapes and forms and is tailor made to each person.

What affects you may not affect me and vice versa.

Any symptoms that are new to you should always be checked out by your GP in case they are not Fibro. Give it a couple of weeks, and if you are still having problems it might be a good idea to see your GP.

It would be a really good idea for you to get into the habit of locking your posts.

Here is an easy to follow guide on how to do this:

Many of our members are very reluctant to answer unlocked posts due to the fact that they can be viewed right across the whole www internet.

If you need any help, or would like me to lock your post for you, please let me know and I will be more than happy to do it for you.

Wishing you much peace

Hi Claire91 I'm sorry you are having problems with your hands. I'm afraid as BlueMermaid3 says, very common with Fibro. I have pains in my fingers sometimes that have bought me near to tears before now, my toes are the same, I even have dreadful pain under my fingernails, numbness, tingling, cramps, it's always worse when it's cold like now brrrrrr...

Peace, luv n light

Jan xx

Oh yes had new internal doors fitted today with knobs as the previous lever ones kept on catching on hand or clothes. Oh dear two of the doors I can't open so they have got to come and change the mechanism to a push and pull instead of a twist. Unexpected pains in feet and ties as well you have my sympathy.x

Hi Claire91

I am so genuinely sorry to read this my friend and I have pasted you a couple of excerpts below from *Google searches. It could be caused by several issues but the excerpts I have pasted relate to Peripheral neuropathy & Arthritis:

Peripheral neuropathy:

*Peripheral neuropathy, a result of damage to your peripheral nerves, often causes weakness, numbness and pain, usually in your hands and feet. It can also affect other areas of your body. Your peripheral nervous system sends information from your brain and spinal cord (central nervous system) to the rest of your body.7 Jul 2016

Arthritis:

*Joint stiffness is often followed by joint tenderness or pain during movement or while at rest. This also affects both sides of the body equally. In early RA, the most common sites for pain are the fingers and wrists. You may also experience pain in your knees, feet, ankles, or shoulders.15 Jul 2016

If this issue persists or gets any worse I would get it checked out my friend just to have other medical conditions ruled out of the equation. I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck and please take care of yourself my friend.

All my hopes and dreams for you

Ken

Hi there yes I have it constantly. I'm afraid it's part of the fibro, try rubbing some nice hand cream on your hands everyday it won't stop it but it makes your hands more supple. I have a hand massage it realy helps too. Enjoy Thunder 1 ☇

I have problems with trigger finger on both hands and really severe pain across the palm of my left hand. It is also swollen and a bit red and shiny. My rheumatologist sent me for an ultrasound scan which showed ganglions between the tendons. However my next appointment is not until April so I guess I have to suffer until then
