Hello Hidden I am sorry I have not heard of fibro improving with Vitamin K, although if it helps bones it may suit those with osteoarthritis.
I cannot take it for blood clotting as I have APS (sticky blood) and prone to clots.
It is always worth looking at and considering anything that help with symptoms.
Kay
Would just like to mention that if you take the medication WARFARIN you should not consider taking vitamin K - warfarin is taken by people with heart conditions that can cause blood clots that can give you a stroke. Take care, Jan
Forgot to mention that Vitamin K thickens your blood- that can be a problem to those who have to keep an eye on their blood - like Kay who has APS and me who has heart problems. Caution is the key word.....talk to your doc before taking.. Take care, Jan
Same for me. Like Kay I have APS and so take warfarin, and also have to inject heparin if my INR drops too low. Fortunately my surgery allow me to self test with my own machine ( worth every penny it cost!) so rarely have to go there which is good as I have to test weekly sometimes more if I'm not well.
That's right...............and if your on Warfarin you have to watch what you eat or take etc and you have regular blood tests to check it out and if your blood is too thick for your health problem they adjust your warfarin dosage and also the same if its too thin. Its a real pain - always trotting off to the blood clinic but if its keeping me safe I'll do it...28 years now of going every few weeks.. Take care, |Jan
Thanks Mydexter, at the moment I'm having to go every week.....but it is usually every 3 weeks..........and the longest between is 6 weeks. Heyho... can't be helped. Take care and best wishes. Jan
I am taking Vitimin K for my Osteoporosis, it sends the Vitimin D to your bones.
I have been in a flare since September so I don't think it helps Fibro pain one bit. x
Yes I am a great believer in victims to help repair etc I have lupus as well if lots of other rubbish illness and lately I have been takin magnesium and other supplements Glucosamine sulphate . and wow my pain levels from fibro gone down ,?? They say if your iron is low it can cause all sorts of problems not the obvious but silly things maybe it's Mind over matter and I have been gong on sun beds once a week so not sure may be warm sun in my aching joints has helped ?
Morning Jim jams. Has your doctor prescribed sunbeds ? You do know how dangerous they are as one of the causes of skin cancer ? A dermatologist i knkw would love them banned except for certain skin conditions. If the warmth helps your joints then that's a positive but the price could be a little high.

Try gelatine (jelly). It's good for bones, hair and nails. It also helps with absorption of vitamins. Good thing is it comes in lots of flavours, is cheap and doesn't have nasty side effects. It also helps with energy levels. dailymail.co.uk/femail/arti...
Hey I was wondering the same thing about vitamin K. I just came across a book (vitamin-k2-and-the-calcium-paradox-by-dr-kate-rheaume-bleue) yesterday but haven't done anymore research yet. I did find taking 5000ui daily of vitamin D to help the fatigue a bit. If you try it and it helps please let us know
Hi Hidden
I have pasted a link below to the NHS Choices cache on Vitamin K, so I truly hope that you find this useful:
