Hello Janice-may and welcome to our friendly fibro forum where you can find support, understanding, help and advice, along with a chuckle or two to lighten the day.

Have you seen our Mother Site fmauk.org ? Here you will find a wealth of information including guides and links.

Overheating is a major problem for some fibromites because of our "faulty" body thermostats, and as yet there has been no solution that fits all.

My own remedy which helps a little is a gel pad, you can get them quite cheaply online. I put this around my back and it does cut the excessive sweating but does not stop it completely. I also carry a fold up fan that is very discreet and helps with my reddening face!

Are you drinking plenty of water? If not, that could be contributing to the shakes.

If this is a recent or new symptom, then I suggest you see your GP.

Looking forward to seeing you around the forum.

Kay

Welcome, I'm sorry you are struggling with all of that. I'm not much help for your issues, sorry. Unless shakes means muscle spasm, magnesium chloride oil diluted with distilled water has helped me tremendously with spasms, but not sure that was what you were talking about.

Anyways, I hope some more people come soon and help you more than I can.

Take care××

Hi there

Welcome to the forum :)

I am sorry to hear that you have Fibromyalgia. You have come to the right place for lots of support, help and advice.

We all suffer from Fibromyalgia and understand completely how you feel.

Unfortunately a very common symptom that many of us suffer with is that our body's thermostat doesn't work.

Some of us feel permanently cold (me) even in summer whilst many of our members feel hot all the time.

Sadly there is not a huge amount that can be done about it.

Is it your hands that are shaking or the whole of your body? Have you had this symptom checked out by your GP, just to be on the safe side.

For the sake of internet safety it is a good idea for you to lock your posts. I will leave you a link at the bottom of my post explaining how to do this. **

If you still need any help navigating the forum, please don't hesitate to give me a shout and I will be more than happy to help.

Wishing you much peace

When I get over heated I use a hand fan I bought in Spain to waft myself cool. I experience severe pain in legs and arms when this happens.
