Hot Water bottle

Have had a very bad cold/flu the last few days. Have re-discovered the benefits of a hot water bottle next to my chest. It's lovely. Maybe some of the old school health solutions shouldn't be forgotten. I've literally had a hot water bottle constantly next to my chest for the last 48 hours.

Hi I am glad you are getting some comfort, sometimes the old ways are the best.

Make sure your bottle is well wrapped. Sometime ago I used a bottle which although it had it's furry cover on gave me some nasty burn marks. Not something I recommend!

Hope you feel better soon.Xx

Hi minesawhiskey

I have been the very same myself for a few days and even though my chest is clearing up a but now doesnt it feel so comforting to have that sense of heat and warmth near you ?

Glad its not just me! And yes some of the old school remedies shouldnt be forgotten some of them worked so well.

And like bluebell99 mentioned watch for burning.I managed to burn a patch on my back - very sore.

Take care of yourself and ,hope you are back,up and running soon.

Isnt it strange how we can forget things like this?, but relish in the rediscovery and enjoy your new found comfort. I think mine last week was corn flakes and ice cold milk, or was it cheese on toast with a dash of worcester sauce?

Blessings

I use my hwb all the time. In fact I don't think I could do without it. I get so cold sometimes that I need it. I also can't go to bed without one because my feet are always so cold that if I don't have one on my feet at bedtime then I get even less sleep than usual.

My nightly ritual..two h.w.b. Could not sleep without them.

They get moved from back under legs and feet in fact all over.

I even have them in the summer and they go on holidays with me
