Has anyone had any pain in their hips? My pain is more on the right side

Hi

There are different types of hip pain. If it is in your groin area that generally means arthritis, if it is on the outside of your hip that can mean a strain or bursitis.

I have had a total hip replacement and experienced the groin pain which travels down the front of the thigh.

Where in your hip is the pain?

Hi Claire91 im sorry you are suffering with hip pain, I also suffer from aweful pain In my hips, sometimes one hip sometimes both, ache constantly Really, sometimes more than others. They are even tender to touch & feel bruised at times. I find the best thing to help is heat, I use a heat blanket, I also use an actilatch (Magnet therapy) or a tens which help. I also have some hand held gel heat pads & i put a bit of almond oil on hip & really gently rub all around my hip with it and it really does help.

Hydrotherapy also helps.

yes- it is supposedly actually my spinal stenosis based on my MRIs. hip x-rays showed nothing. I spent some months doing PT with no help. I am now doing accupuncture 2 x a week. It seems to help some but I am just starting

The pain in my hips are horrendous but all my gp says it's fibro and hasn't even examined me I'm finding it even harder to walk or even sit I said to him wish I just needed hip replacements then everything would be ok x
