Hi there
You may be surprised to know that many people get nervous about seeing their GP.
My advice to you would be to write down all of your symptoms. If you can explain a little about how bad the pain is, where it is and how often you get it.
Do not be embarrassed to show the note to your GP.
I know it is probably a little late in the day now, but it is ok to take a family member or friend with you to your appointment for moral support.
If you feel your GP is not helping you enough with your pain, request a referral to a Pain Clinic.
I do hope some of this helps. You could always request seeing a different GP next time you go.
Wishing you much peace

Hi
I think Lu has given great advice. A friend or family member not only gives moral support, they can agree with everything you say because they see you at your worst.
Good Luck, you will be fine.

I agree with BlueMermaid3 writing it down is always best. Try and rate your pain from 0-10 and write down what sort it is eg sharp, burning, gnawing and what parts of the body it is in. Also note when it is at its worse eg night or morning or after a certain activity. Good luck.x
With all that useful info I am sure it will all go well and you may wonder why you worried! xx
Good Luck Claire91 I hope it goes ok my friend x
Hi Claire91
I am so genuinely sorry that I am late replying to your post, and I sincerely hope that your doctors appointment went well for you my friend.
All my hopes and dreams for you

Hi Claire
You have been given some good advice from the others.
Just a little tip to help you. When you rate your pain many people often overestimate it's level. Here is a useful guide to help you rate it on a scale the doctor will understand and agree with.

Good luck, hope you can get through to your GP.
