I think it's gonna be another one of those nights - and shockingly sans pain. Just my brain doesn't seem to want to kick down any gears at all! A wee girl cuddled in bed with me who may or may not have chicken pox - time will tell. A day off work with her then a quick dash in for 3 hrs earlier tonight to race through what I could while i had an alternative carer for a bit and she slept. Past experience tells me I'll likely pay for it tomorrow where my brain will shut down when i need it most - assuming i get to go to work - all hinges on the chickens π
Best of luck ti everyone else that's also struggling to sleep - although I'm guessing with the time difference y'all will be about waking up for Monday soon? Night from NZ π

Turns out was a tummy bug - no chicken pox arrived! Thank god!! Slept right through once i fell asleep and actually felt best today painwise than i have in weeks! So random!
Hi Leemaree44 I hope you managed to sleep my friend, we are all up & its lunchtime here in the UK & I'm still laying in my bed after a horendous night of back & leg pain & a bad headache & it's just worn me out so I know how you feel. Then having to deal with kids that are ill can sometimes all feel like to much. I have 3 grown up daughters but when they were little my friend lived with me for a year with her 2 little girls & i remember all 5 of them having measles, one after the other & my friend & i had to do things in relays because we couldn't leave the house for about 5 weeks lol..
Well i hope all goes well for you today & if your little girl has chicken pox she doesn't have it to bad & recovers quickly.
Warm milk usually helps but in the end I put a national geographic documentary narrated by David Attenborough on Netflix. Not because it's boring (cos they're definitely not) but there's something hypnotic in his voice - works almost every time. Also last night I tried a wee session of yoga for beginners with some gentle stretches for my legs and back - I'm wondering if that helped with the decrease in my pain level today. I find the muscle spasms and constant tightness of my thighs and calf muscles the worst. All day every day usually π
I hope your daughter is ok and that you manage to get some well deserved rest especially if you have to go to work. I know the feeling only too well where the body exhausted and crying for sleep but the head in overdrive. Hope it all works out
I am so genuinely sorry to read this and I sincerely hope that you feel better soon. This is awful for all concerned coming up to Christmas. Please take care of yourself.
