I'm Zoe. Hi all. I'm new. I've been single for 6yrs. People just don't understand. It's gonna take a really special guy to not judge me and my illnesses. Does anyone else experience the same. I feel like I'm going to be single forever. Lol. Is there many guys that have FMS?

Zoe 😂

Hi Zoe

Welcome to the forum ☺

Have a look at our mother site where you will find lots of info about Fibromyalgia fmauk.org

Statistically more women than men suffer with Fibromyalgia.

Perhaps the way to meeting someone would be through friendship first.

I very much hope that you enjoy the forum.

Wishing you less pain and more peace

Hi ZOEDEAN and welcome to our wonderful forum ☺I'm sure you will come to find the forum invaluable in chatting to others who are going through the same experience as you & talking to others at different stages of their lives with Fibro & learning from their experiences.

It does help with the whole process & i wish I had found the site years ago. I have had Fibro for nearly 30 yrs & I'm still learning about it, like we all are.

I'm sorry you are having relationship problems due to your health, it does take a special guy to understand but their are still some out there honey., just wanted to say Hi.

Peace, luv n light

You are very welcome. Sorry you are in the middle of a flare. They are awful. The last week for me has been bit trying and no sleep.

Regards meeting someone. I felt the same after my husband refused to believe how ill I was and walked out on me 7yrs ago. I lived a lone for years since. But 18mths ago I met someone and honestly thought when I told him my fibro (also have advanced arthritis and severe asthma) he would run a mile. He looked it up and read as much about it without telling me and then just said. It's pain and a dreadful burden for you my dear not me. He is so loving and never gets annoyed or frustrated with me. Which is moe than I can say for my own family. Take heart my lovely and trust the universe to bring who you need into your life. Remain blessed xx

Never give up hope Zoe, I met my partner after being on my own for 7 years, he too has Fibro which is worse than mine although I'm catching him up with pain and other symptoms. Try joining a support group, it's not all women but you never know what's in store for you xx

Hi ZOEDEAN

Welcome to the forum and it is wonderful to make your acquaintance. The number of women suffering with Fibro outnumbers men. I have pasted an excerpt from Arthritis Control:

*Most people with fibromyalgia are women (Female: Male ratio 7:1). However, men and children also can have the disorder.

I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck, and please take care of yourself.

All my hopes and dreams for you

Am a bloke. Ive not been diagnosed with fibromyalgia yet but am vitamin d deficient. Still, just walking around can feel like doing a stage of the Tour de France! So this definitely stops me thinking about relationships, plus I'm not working because of how I feel. All doom and gloom as far as girls go for me! A special dating app might be needed!
