Many us have attended Pain Clinics and Pain Management Clinics, I'm not sure what the difference between the two is. You may be offered counselling, a review of your medication, physio or group therapy. It seems no two clinics are alike!

May I suggest you lock your post? We take security of private information really seriously on the forum and if your post is unlocked it can be seen over the whole of the internet. It also means any replies will be unlocked to and this puts many members off replying to you, which is a shame as you could get support and advice in a reply.

For instructions on how to lock your post go back to your post and scroll down to the bottom where you will see a small inverted v. Click on this, then on Edit. Click on "Only followers in my Community" This will now make your post private only to the forum.

You will see that the posts that are locked have a little padlock alongside the title.

It is worth your while to get into the habit of locking each time for a new post.

I hope other members will post their experiences of Pain Clinics.

Do you know if you are going to a Pain Management Clinic or a Pain Clinic.

Usually at a Pain Clinic you will be assessed as to what pain killing medication you may need.

At a Pain Management Clinic it is usually a course of 6 sessions teaching you how to manage pain.

I hope this helps. These Clinics are invaluable.

Hi darkeyedgirl68, my pain clinic prescribes meds and can do procedures like lidocaine inj. The dr.s can do other procedures at hospital! Chris
