Hello all, I'm a long time sufferer since 1998 of Fibromyalgia ( no need to go into all the details here), Neuropathic Pain and also Osteoarthritis and recently DDD ( Degenerative Disk Disease)
I cut down seriously on all the usual prescribed painkillers especially Co-Codamol after which ceasing to take made my Neuropathic Pain virtually go away.
Recently diagnosed with problems in my spine and sometime over the last couple of months have been suffering immensee pain which is affecting my hips as well as my neck and head. Sometimes it's difficult to walk.
I need to find a community for the DDD Condition.
Of course with all this to contend with i am getting depressed and finding it hard to override the pain and get on with my life. I dont just sit down all day I try very hard to be active but mostly the activities I do i suffer for later.
Wendy.

Hi there I have a lower lumbar degenerate with neuropathic pain starting in my left side deep in the hip referring to my knee and now down my leg , this has caused my muscles to weaken over time and left me with size 12 feet , which are very flat and the bottom of my right foot can become bruised- sore and hot if you know what I mean. This has in the long run cause my L5 lumbar to have bulging discs that can become anywhere from uncomfortable to feeling really bruised. I can walk but tire fast and have lots of muscle tiredness to. I read your post and can empathise with you greatly especially the great sadness of the loss of usage if you know what I mean. you just get used to living with one lot of pain and then something else really tiring. I feel for you lots, you say you've reduced medications but surely the pain unmasked can be very tiring yet alone with the effects it will have on your fibro and quality of life . So don't go beating yourself up it'll just make you more depressed. Have you asked for the pain clinic from your doctor surely with so many deaerates you will need to be supported from someone you sound so alone with it so glad you have reached out to this site. The peeps here are great and have loads of good advice and support too. Hope you get some help soon x
