What do you make of the following: pain all over esp. neck, shoulders, hips, outside side of hand. When little terrier jumps up I can feel her paws digging in even when shes nolonger on my legs.
Night sweats, waking up aching even with memory foam topper. Low mood, TMJ diagnosed by dentist and so horridly tired. I have OA and my thyroid is at the low end of normal so not treatable.
Help would be apprecited, all the gp says is go on diet and/or take prozac

I truly feel you should try to see another doctor as your symptoms may be caused through fibro but could be something different that needs seeing to. Oh dear I do hope you can get this sorted soon.....x
Hi goldengrad I see you have just joined, so welcome to the forum.
I'm sorry you are experiencing so much pain and discomfort at the moment. As you say, with the other things you have going on, it would be difficult to say it was fibromyalgia or not. These are some of the symptoms of Fibro but they are also symptoms for many other things.
As Trikki says, it would be a good idea to try change doctors or try to get him to refer you to a Rheumatologist at the hospital.
If you go on the mother site you will find lots of information on Fibromyalgia & lots of useful links.
I look forward to chatting with you and i hope you soon feel better.
Welcome to the forum and it is wonderful to make your acquaintance. I am so genuinely sorry to read of how you are suffering and struggling and I sincerely hope that you can find the answers that you so desperately desire and deserve.
I have to agree with your other two respondents as I would personally find myself a different GP who is going to take note of your symptoms and how you are feeling my friend. You could complain to your Practice Manager if you are not satisfied with your GP?
I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck and please take care of yourself.
