2 shifts left

I have 2 shifts before I qualify for sick leave. I worked last evening and suffered terrible neck pain and a migraine all night. I'm about to leave for work again now. I just need to keep myself motivated to get through tonight. Then I would have one shift left this Saturday. God I feel so sick. IBS, and completely weak today. I can't even keep my eyes open. I just want to go to bed. But I have to get through this! After these two shifts I swore I will never nurse again!

Can you not get someone to massage your shoulders , neck or put cold compress on your neck . I feel for you as I suffer migraines too. Hope your better soon.

This all sounds so horrible for you....How on earth you cope I don't know...I have never had migraines but neck pain yes....I am full of admiration for you, especially as you are nursing others when you really need someone to look after you!!! Do you really mean that you will stop nursing? Not that I would blame you, but I am not sure you really mean you will never nurse again!!! Take care and gentle hugs xx

My doctor is suggesting I find a new kind of work or a desk job. I would take a big pay cut, I wouldn't care. But I am definitely done with hospital work or patient care. So done!

Yup, I got through it. So one shift left. Now it leaves me kinda sad not being part of a great team. I have a lot of memories. Some good, some bad. But 25 years later it's taken a lot out of me

I am genuinely delighted that you got through it, but I can understand how you must be feeling especially when you are use to working with these folk and have become friends.

Take care my friend
