Fingers crossed. I have just managed this morning after Hidden told me about a Capital centre nearer to us to get my PIP appt changed as this one is only 12 mike's away instead if 35. I swear they test you to see whether you agree to go or not. If you tried getting there by public transport it would have been at least one and a half hours if every bus and train was on time. It would have involved a climb up hill, a bus journey, a walk, a train and another walk. I feel worn out just thinking about it.

Remember to get your son to carry anything heavy and just wear a tiny bag as they even note that. Let us know how you get on.x

Thats great rosewine

It said on my report for PIP that i could use my hands ok, and that i had been observed opening a zip on my bag and taking out paperwork.

I was in a wheelchair, the bag was on my lap with the zip facing me. There is a 6" long leather strap attached to the zip. The paper work was my driving licence and blue badge.

Not exactly a difficult task and i was hardly trying to hide the fact that i can use my hands most of the time.

It just seemed so petty

Oh and it was only the receptionists who were there at the time saw me do it.

It is like walls have ears. They are watching you from the moment your walk up the street. Just because you could do that in a good day doesn't mean you can do anything meaningful with your hands. I reckon my hands today are as good as a pair of flippers I am doing one fingered typing on a touch screen and having constantly go back and correct things. I used to be able to touch type and watch the TV at the same time! They should live our lives.

Aren't assessors attitudes different as well. My first one for ESA was very fair and she even helped me get all my bag of meds together the second one would have made a good sadistic prison guard. She came to all her conclusions without even looking at me 95% of the time. She said I handed over paperwork when it was my husband and that I refused to have an examination when it was her who told me not to do it if it was too painful.x

I always try to do as they ask. How else do they get proof that you cant do it.

Yes I tried some of the things she asked me to do and I was accused if putting no effort in and I was straining ever painful sinew. Then she wanted me to get up on a bed which was pushed up against the wall in two sides, no step up and OH had bad back. I asked whether there was a step and she said no, I asked whether she would be able to help me off as I would have to get upon dodgy side and she said no and I said I might get stuck and she told me not to do it. She then lied about it in the report. This time I will try everything and if I fall in a screaming heap on the floor they can shovel me up with the rubbish at the end of the day and recycle me. You never know I might get a better body after being recycled lol.x
