This is an awful part of fibro, in my own experience the only relief I get from the awful overwhelming fatigue is to get up and potter around until it passes, sometimes I just have to go with it and rest, as for pacing its something you only learn by trial and error, for instance if you have a good day don't go berserk and do the entire house clean, just rest when you need to xx

That's were I struggle sometimes I think I feel a lot better but then I do to much I say to myself I'm going to pace myself next but I do the same again as for the fatigue I just can't do anything when it hits me im asleep in seconds probably sleep better than when I go to bed ☺

Hi

I know we get fatigue with fibro especially if we're stressed or done a lot etc.

Have you had your bloods done though, mas a lack of vit d is common in fibro sufferers and can make you very tired. I was lacking and now take it and feel less tired.

Good luck and best wishes.

Carol, I can't pace myself either.I either stop or go..no in between. My dr treats me for narcolepsy so about 45 minutes after morning meds it's go, get it done because I know it won't last forever.I don't know what to tell you but I do wish you the best. Peck.🐤

Hi my friend

I am so genuinely sorry to read that you are struggling with fatigue. If you think it is your medication that is causing this it may prove beneficial to discuss a tweak in your medication with your doctor? Or if you think it may be related to not sleeping properly in the first place, it may be best to talk to them about something to help you sleep for a short period of time? Or having some sleep tests undertaken? Your GP or medical specialist should be able to help you in this area? Hopefully?

I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck and please take care of yourself.

All my hopes and dreams for you

Ken

I'm still learning to pace myself but quite honestly I am rubbish at it! I seem to be utterly incapable of letting a good day go by without cramming as much into it as possible.

At the moment I am working on getting my vit D up to scratch as it is consistently low. I'm hopeful that once that's ok I will feel a lot less tired.

I just wish they would still give the injections but my GP flat out refuses.

I understand - often I don't sleep so much as pass out just like you said and will sleep for 24 hours often.

I'm still learning to pace myself too. Although occasionally I will overdo it by having a night out with friends (by taking Guarana) but I find the payback is worth it to be a normal human being for one evening.
